On February 22, 1923, the General Evans Shelby Chapter, at Owensboro, unveiled a tablet in the court house in honor of the Kentucky boys who made the supreme sacrifice during the World War, 1917-1918. (Note: Plaque is now on front of American Legion Post #9)
